Crédit Agricole S.A.’s publishes the FReD index
A new FReD progress index measuring the Crédit Agricole S.A. Group’s social performance has been approved and published for 2012. The index reading is 2.4, summarising the advances made by the 10 entities committed to the Group’s environmental and social responsibility (ESR) approach: Amundi, Crédit Agricole Assurances, CACEIS, Crédit Agricole Consumer Finance, CACIB, Crédit Agricole Leasing & Factoring, CA Private Banking, Cariparma, Crédit Agricole S.A. and LCL.
Nearly 200 action plans have been ranked from 1 (plan selected) to 5 (objectives achieved). When an entity moves from one level to another, it gains one point. When an action plan’s objectives have been met, it is replaced by a new plan in the entity’s FReD portfolio. Every year, the averages of the entities’ own self-assessments will feed into the FReD index measuring the Group’s overall progress.
An independent third party, PricewaterhouseCoopers, has audited the 2012 index reading of 2.4.
