Being realistic is also being ambitious. That’s the strategy Crédit Agricole has chosen for its Group Project.

  • Healthy profits on firm foundations. Crédit Agricole and its banks are committed to the geographies they work in, offering a full range of businesses to serve customers and the real economy. This model delivers healthy and recurring profits because it’s based on useful activities.
  • Strong organic growth. Crédit Agricole is not relying on acquisitions. Our organic growth prospects are strong thanks to greater synergies among our networks and specialised businesses, not just in France and the other European countries we work in, but worldwide - anywhere we serve our customers. What’s more, we are already a leader in buoyant sectors such as housing, agrifood, healthcare, retirement, personal risk, long-term care and the environment.
  • Ambitious financial goals. Drawing on these strengths, Crédit Agricole S.A. aims to generate net banking income of 25 billion euros by 2014 and net income of 6 to 7 billion euros. We shall achieve those goals in full compliance with the Basel III rules and without making a capital increase. This is an ambitious and realistic plan based on promises we will keep.

External growth is not the only option. Crédit Agricole has chosen another path for its Group Project, based on its business model.

  • An effective model. Customer-centric universal banking is our model, which means serving personal customers, farmers, professionals and businesses wherever we work. The model incorporates a full range of banking activities, making us even stronger.
  • New sources of growth to tap. Growth opportunities are right here, within our Group. We are already a leader in buoyant sectors such as housing, agrifood, healthcare, retirement, personal risk, long-term care and the environment. Relying on greater synergies among our networks and specialised businesses in France, the rest of Europe and worldwide, we can tap these new sources of growth to set ambitious goals and play to our own strengths.
