Offering our customers responsible products
At Crédit Agricole, we devise products that are consistent with our convictions and values. We want to be there when our customers come up against problems in order to help them.
Green products
In France, our network started offering interest-free eco-loans as soon as they were introduced by the government in April 2009. We are now the leading marketer of these loans.
We have made the Energy-Saving Loan accessible to our customers.
We support farmers wishing to invest in solar voltaic projects .
Green financing
- 37,000 interest-free eco-loans offers and loans worth €606 million at end-March 2010 (LCL and regional banks)
- 690,000 Energy-Saving Loans worth €812 million since 2007
- €250 million for farmers investing in solar voltaic projects
In Italy, Cariparma has come up with a catalogue of products designed to encourage the use of alternative energy sources, like Fiducia Contante Energia Solare, a loan to finance the installation of solar panels on housing .
In 2009 in Greece, Emporiki Bank launched a product to finance photovoltaic plants and a loan to make housing more energy-efficient.
Xynthia: exemplary mobilisation
The Crédit Agricole group mobilised immediately after the Xynthia storm in February, increasing reception and compensation facilities in its Crédit Agricole and LCL branch networks.
Pacifica, Crédit Agricole's accident insurance arm, assigned over 500 staff to handle claims from policyholders, who could call a single freephone number.

Partnerships for microcredit
The regional banks are forging partnerships with microcredit organisations to encourage all those who create or take over businesses and to help professionals going through a difficult period.
That, for example, is the intention behind our cooperation with local initiative platforms and partnerships with organisations that support business creation like ADIE, the Association for the Right to Economic Initiative* , to which 18 regional banks have contributed nearly €900,000.
