Cultural philanthropy: a deeply rooted tradition at Crédit Agricole

Making the most of our local artistic and cultural legacy, restoring endangered world heritage sites, exposing the widest audiences to classical music, sponsoring talented young contemporary artists... Crédit Agricole is dedicated to conserving architectural, cultural and rural heritage in France and internationally. This commitment is rooted in a longstanding tradition of cultural philanthropy.

Safeguarding our regions’ heritage

As an extension of our actions to support local development, we sponsor projects to restore and conserve the treasures of France's regions. Through Pays de France, the first not-for-profit foundation created by the Regional Banks in 1979, Crédit Agricole supports programmes designed to safeguard France's heritage, as we see it: our expansive, innovative vision encompasses the legacy of modest rural areas as well as religious edifices and nature areas.

St-Athanase

As a partner of Cultural Heritage without Borders since 2007, Crédit Agricole has participated in restoring the exceptional photographic legacy of Gabriel Millet. The Group also sponsors projects to renovate historic sites, buildings and religious edifices in the Balkans and in Madagascar. These projects have helped to revitalise the local economy in areas where they have been carried out, by providing training and jobs to the local population during the restoration work, and by attracting tourism after their completion.

Orchestre national de Radio France

As a sponsor of Radio France's Philharmonic Orchestra, via its asset management subsidiary Amundi, Crédit Agricole, promotes appreciation of classical music and brings the classical repertoire the widest possible audience. Since 2007, Amundi has also been a patron of the Bondy section of the Radio France choir, which offers musical training to schoolchildren from disadvantaged areas.

As a frontrunner in the discovery of new talent, the Salon de Montrouge receives some 12,000 visitors each year.
