June
- For the third consecutive year, Crédit Agricole, which is active in the financing of renewable energies and environmental initiatives, is taking a stand at the Salon des Energies Renouvelables trade show, which takes place from Thursday 19 to Saturday 21 June 2008 at the Paris Expo showground at Porte de Versailles in Paris.
- Crédit Agricole reinforces its support to the “Ligue de Protection des Oiseaux (LPO)” (Bird life international french partner), by signing a partnership with the non-profit organization, which especially concerns the “LPO refuges”.
- To mark World Environment Day on Thursday 5 June, Crédit Agricole, in conjunction with Farre, the Forum for Integrated, Environmentally-Friendly Agriculture (Forum pour une agriculture raisonnée respectueuse de l’environnement), is organising an event called Graines de paysages ("Budding Landscapes"), by distributing of flower seeds and brochures promoting environmental protection in Crédit Agricole S.A. cafeterias.

- Crédit Agricole, present beside Guimet museum, supports for the 150th establishment of diplomatic relationship between France and Japan birthday, one of major exhibition for the Japanese culture knowledge: Hokusai, « l’affolé de son art » from Edmond de Goncourt to Norbert Lagane.
- Crédit Agricole launches the Solidarité Logement programme in favour of persons on a difficult way at a ceremony attended by Christine Boutin, Minister of Housing and Urban Affairs.
- Crédit Agricole, present at the 104th Notaries Convention as a partner for the profession for over seven decades and is the lead bank handling the assets of members of the professions. The theme "Sustainable Development– a challenging area for the Law" which was chosen as a focus for the Convention's discussions was an opportunity to underscore the Group's special involvement in this particular area.
- Calyon acted as Sole financial adviser to Energias de Portugal and its renewable energy units, EDP Renováveis and NEO Energia, regarding the acquisition of the French wind energy operator and developer Eole 76.
April
- Crédit Agricole S.A. gets an independent and specialized expert in solicited rating, the extra-financial rating agency BMJ Ratings to assess its sustainable performance.
- The Crédit Agricole S.A’s sustainable development mission takes part to the French Fair Trade Two Weeks, by organizing with the farmers’ associations and Max Havelaar France a meeting between producers from Mali, India, Peru and France.
- During the French Sustainable Development Week, Crédit Agricole takes part in the four "Dialogue Equation 2008" forums, an educational project jointly organised for business/engineering schools and universities. In-house actions are also organized.
March
- Thanks to the “Chez LCL, on croît au Père Noël pour tous les enfants” (At LCL, we believe in Santa Claus for every child) - from 2007 1st of December to 2008 31st of January – operation, LCL gives €66,665 to “Mecenat Chirurgie Cardiaque Enfants du Monde” association, which LCL has been a partner since 2003.
- Crédit Agricole Asset Management (CAAM) launches a SRI and innovative “water” thematic fund, CAAM Funds Aqua Global, which combines financial and Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) criteria to select stocks, offering investors the opportunity to participate in the growth of the best quality companies involved in the value creation chain of water.

- Creation of the Grameen - Crédit Agricole Foundation to combat poverty around the world, with a contribution of €50 million.
- Crédit Agricole participates in the Salon International de l'Agriculture as the leading bank and insurance company for farmers, with a display on its stand demonstrating its commitment to protecting the environment.

- By signing the Diversity Charter, Crédit Agricole S.A. makes a commitment to promote diversity and combat all forms of discrimination.
- Crédit Agricole Cheuvreux is awarded the prize for best long-term economic and financial research.
- Crédit Agricole Asset Management supports the FIR Finance and Sustainable Development prize for academic work in this area.
- Crédit Agricole Asset Management participates in the UN Global Compact Investors' Initiative, which encourages companies to produce adequate communication as proof of their commitment.

December
- The Comité Intersyndical de l'Épargne Salariale (CIES) renews its accreditation of Crédit Agricole Asset Management's range of socially responsible employee savings products.
- The Calyon-EDF Quantitative Finance and Sustainable Development Chair organises a symposium in Monaco on the theme of "Finance and Sustainable Development: opposition or partnership ?".
- FARM (Foundation for Agriculture and Rural Life Worldwide) makes microfinance the central theme of its symposium.
November
- Crédit Agricole forms a partnership with Un Avenir Ensemble, an association with the aim of increasing the chances of success of deserving young people from underprivileged areas.
- The Banker names Crédit Agricole "Bank of the Year" for its sustainable development policy, based on the AAA rating from Innovest.
October
- Crédit Agricole wins the "Recrutement et intégration des personnes handicapées" award for hiring and integration of disabled people.
- Crédit Agricole signs a new Group-wide agreement on the integration of disabled people.
September
- Crédit Agricole Private Equity's Capenergie fund invests in Hydrowatt, an operator of 21 hydroelectric power stations in France with capacity of 37 MW.
- LCL joins forces with ANPE to recruit 3,000 people between now and 2010.
- Crédit Agricole Asset Management, rated the No. 1 asset manager by VIGEO for its environmental, social and corporate governance policy, reports on its results to its employees.

- Crédit Agricole Immobilier obtains ISO 14001 certification for buildings managed by Crédit Agricole Immobilier in the Paris region.
- Emporiki Bank joins Crédit Agricole S.A. in the FTSE4Good index of socially responsible companies.

- IDEAM launches the "Danone.communities" fund, which combines financial investment and solidarity.
