APPOINTMENT
Bernard Delpit will be joining Crédit Agricole S.A. as of 29 August 2011 as Group Finance Director, reporting to Michel Mathieu, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Crédit Agricole S.A. in charge of Central Functions, Insurance and Asset Management.
Bernard Delpit will replace Bertrand Badré, who will continue with his career outside the Crédit Agricole Group after four years of intense commitment, particularly during the financial crisis. Jean-Paul Chifflet, Chief Executive Officer of Crédit Agricole S.A., highlighted Mr Badré’s contribution and the quality of his work with the finance teams during a particularly unstable period.
Bernard Delpit began his career in 1990 at the French Treasury. Until 2000, he held a variety of positions within the budget department of the Ministry of the Economy and Finance. In 2000, he moved to PSA Peugeot Citroën, where from 2001 he was Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Dong Feng Peugeot Citroën Automobiles (China), before being appointed Head of Budget Control at the PSA Peugeot Citroën Group in 2004.
Mr Delpit joined the cabinet of the French President in May 2007 as advisor for public finances and taxation, and then as economic advisor.
Since June 2009, he has been Deputy Chief Executive Officer and Chief Financial Officer of the La Poste group.
Aged 46, Mr Delpit, who holds a degree in law and is a graduate of the Institut d’Etudes Politiques in Paris, also studied at the Ecole Nationale d’Administration.
