Marc Devillard joins Crédit Agricole Private Equity's Venture Capital team as Investment Director for the software and Internet sectors.

Marc Devillard, 40, began his career as a field engineer in Papua New Guinea for Spie Capag. In 1993, he joined McKinsey & Company as a consultant specialising in the financial and industrial sectors before moving to Mitchell Madison Group as senior project manager. In 1998, he was appointed Business Development Director at BIC S.A. Then in 2000, he became chief operating officer of Cytale S.A., producer of the first European e-book, the Cybook, and was appointed member of the management board. In 2003, he joined Microsoft France as head of the "Information Worker" product line. Two years later, he was appointed head of marketing operations and then in 2006 head of planning and marketing operations for Western Europe. Since 2007, he has been Senior Manager in the Telecoms/Media division of management consultancy Arthur D. Little.

Marc Devillard is a graduate of the Ecole Polytechnique and the Corps des Ponts et Chaussées engineering school. He also has an MBA from the INSEAD business school.
