Ariberto Fassati joins the Executive Committee of the italian banking association (ABI)

Ariberto Fassati, the Crédit Agricole Group's representative in Italy, representing in particular the Cariparma FriulAdria Group, Crédit Agricole Corporate and Investment Bank (CACib) and Crédit Agricole Leasing Italy (Calit), has been appointed a member of the Executive Committee of the Italian Banking Association.

This is the first time that Crédit Agricole has been represented on the ABI's Executive Committee. This appointment confirms the Group's development and growing importance in Italy. Following the current acquisition of assets from Intesa SanPaolo, it will be the seventh-largest operator in the Italian banking market.

"Our involvement in the executive bodies of such an important organisation for the Italian banking and financial system attests to Crédit Agricole's increasingly important role in Italy," comments Ariberto Fassati. "We intend to continue to invest in the country, which is the Group's second-largest domestic market, making our contribution to its economic and social development".
