Crédit Agricole CIB Appointments

Jean-Yves Hocher, Chief Executive Officer of Crédit Agricole CIB, has made appointments:

  • Thierry Simon has been appointed Head of the Coverage and Investment Banking division, and will also join the Executive Committee.
  • Alix Caudrillier has been appointed Head of Global Investment Banking, which encompasses Mergers & Acquisitions, Primary Equity Markets, Corporate Equity Derivatives, Structured Finance Solutions and Telecoms Finance. She also joins the Executive Committee.
  • Bertrand Peyrelongue has been appointed Head of the Mergers & Acquisitions department within the Global Investment Banking division. He takes over from Andréa Bozzi, who has left the Group.

Biographies
Thierry Simon
Thierry Simon was previously Senior Regional Officer (Americas) at Crédit Agricole CIB and, from June 2009, CEO of Crédit Agricole Securities (USA) Inc. From 1985, he held various positions within Crédit Lyonnais’ international network, notably in the United Kingdom and as Denmark Country Manager from 1995 to 1998, before becoming Head of the Central Corporate Branch in Paris, then Head of Financial Institutions from the end of 2001. In 2004, he was promoted to Global Head of Real Estate and Hotels within the Structured Finance division of Calyon (now Crédit Agricole CIB) before becoming Deputy CEO of Calyon Americas in May 2008.
Thierry Simon holds a degree from the Ecole Centrale de Lille, and an Executive MBA from the HEC/CPA business school.
Alix Caudrillier
In March 1982, Alix Caudrillier was recruited by Banque Paribas, where she held a series of positions in the International department, Asia-Pacific division and International Financial Transactions division. In 1989, she joined Crédit Lyonnais’ Capital Markets division, where she was appointed Co-Head of Primary Equity Markets (Europe). In 2001, she was recruited by Crédit Agricole Indosuez to head up the Equity Capital Markets team and, in September 2008, she was appointed Chief Operating Officer of the Coverage and Investment Banking division, a position which she has held until now.
Alix Caudrillier is a graduate of the Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris, the HEC business school and the Institut National des Langues et Civilisations Orientales (INALCO).
Bertrand Peyrelongue
Bertrand Peyrelongue started his career at Coopers & Lybrand in 1980 before moving to the Corporate Finance department of Morgan Grenfell investment bank in 1984. He joined Trianon Finance in 1987, and was subsequently hired by Banque de Gestion Privée as Head of Corporate Finance in 1990, then Crédit Agricole Indosuez in 1999. Since 2008, he was Vice-Chairman of the Mergers & Acquisitions department.
Bertrand Peyrelongue is a graduate of the EM Lyon business school. He also holds a law degree and is a certified accountant.
