Crédit Agricole Luxembourg announces the formation of Crédit Agricole Van Moer Courtens

Crédit Agricole Luxembourg, a specialist in private wealth management and a subsidiary of France's Crédit Agricole S.A., signed an agreement in July 2010 to acquire a majority stake in Dresdner Van Moer Courtens (DVMC), a Belgian brokerage specialised in private banking. Approved by the supervisory authorities, the acquisition went ahead on 10 December.

On 14 December the private wealth management businesses of CAGP Belgium were combined in a new entity, whose share capital was increased to EUR 13,546,491 and which now operates under the name:

Crédit Agricole Van Moer Courtens.

Crédit Agricole Van Moer Courtens will be the focal point for developing the private wealth management activities of Crédit Agricole S.A. in Belgium, thereby confirming its attachment to and ambitions for the Belgian market.

Damien Courtens and Frank Bruynseels, the former managers of DVMC, were involved in the formation of the new entity and will be responsible for growing its activities, in collaboration with Hervé Podevyn and Corine Legrand, the former managers of CAGP Belgium.
