Crédit Agricole Private Equity manages two new FCPI wealth tax funds

For the fourth year in a row, Crédit Agricole Private Equity is managing two FCPI funds (mutual funds investing in innovative companies), which allow individual investors to benefit from tax provisions relating to wealth tax and income tax under the TEPA law.
Capital Invest PME 2011 will be marketed to clients of LCL Banque Privée.
In addition, Amundi Private Equity Funds, a subsidiary of Amundi, the asset management company of which Crédit Agricole S.A. owns 75%, has chosen to delegate management of the Investissement 3 fund portion allocated to innovative companies to Crédit Agricole Private Equity. This fund will be offered to clients of the Crédit Agricole Regional Banks.
By investing in these funds, taxpayers benefit from a reduction in wealth tax and income tax of up to 30% of the amount invested.
The Capital invest PME 2011 and Investissement 3 funds will invest 60% of their assets in innovative European SMEs in the information technologies and life sciences sectors.
Crédit Agricole Private Equity has collected €212 million via its FCPI funds in the last three years, more than half of which has been via its FCPI wealth tax funds, with investments by over 20,000 private investors. To date, these funds are committed to financing more than 40 innovative SMEs, mainly in the new technologies and life sciences sectors.
With assets under management of around €470 million, Crédit Agricole Private Equity is one of the key players in France in SME and seed financing via management of its FCPI funds.
