Crédit Agricole S.A. today held annual general shareholders' meeting at the Cité Internationale des Congrès in Nantes (Loire-Atlantique, France). The meeting was hosted by René Carron, Crédit Agricole S.A. Chairman, and Georges Pauget, Chief Executive Officer. Close to two thousand shareholders attended the meeting in Nantes. With a quorum of 68.96 %, the resolutions put forward and supported were adopted by the board.

The net dividend for 2007 was set at €1.20, due to the forthcoming rights issue, the Board of Directors recommended voting against the previously announced script dividend and it will therefore be payable in cash on 30 May 2008. During this meeting, the shareholders elected the following new directors:

Gérard CAZALS, Chairman of the Caisse régionale de Crédit Agricole de Toulouse et du Midi Toulousain, in replacement of Jean-Pierre PARGADE ;
Michel MATHIEU, Chief Executive Officer of the Caisse régionale de Crédit Agricole du Languedoc, in replacement of Jean-Roger DROUET ;
M. François VEVERKA, Consutlant - financial services and banking, to replace Daniel LEBEGUE as an independent director.

In addition, the annual general shareholders' meeting reelected Philippe CAMUS, René CARRON, Alain DIEVAL, Xavier FONTANET, Michael JAY, Michel MICHAUT to the Board.
