Paris, 14 September 2009 - Crédit Agricole S.A. announces that it is now included in the Dow Jones Sustainability Index World (DJSI World), which tracks the leading sustainability-driven companies worldwide. It also remains a component of the DJSI Stoxx, the European equivalent of the DJSI World. As a result, it is now included in all the main sustainability indices: the DSJI, FTSE4Good and Aspi Eurozone.

Inclusion in the DJSI World is an acknowledgement of Crédit Agricole S.A.'s efforts to make sustainable development a core component of both strategy and business. It also reflects the quality of the Group's policy on social and environmental responsibility.

The Group will continue to apply its philosophy - focused on combating climate change, upholding human rights, particularly at international level, supporting agriculture and offering responsible products and services - in a decentralised manner at Crédit Agricole S.A., its subsidiaries and the Regional Banks.
