Crédit Agricole S.A. organises the third annual Horizon Trophies to reward suppliers with the strongest commitment to sustainable development

Crédit Agricole S.A. is pursuing its Corporate Social and Environmental Responsibility (CSER) awareness campaign among suppliers by organising the third edition of the Horizon Trophies. Open to all Crédit Agricole S.A. Group suppliers, the trophies recognise outstanding initiatives in sustainable development.
The Group's French and foreign suppliers can compete in one of three categories:
- Technology, IT and telecommunications
- Banking and professional services
- Procurement and real estate.
Applications may be submitted from now on. They will be evaluated by a jury composed of procurement heads and members of the Sustainable Development team, as well as a number of personalities from outside the Group. The winners will receive their trophies in December.
This third edition of the Horizon Trophies also marks a new partnership between Crédit Agricole S.A. and the Audencia-Nantes school of management. Professors and students belonging to the school’s Institute for Overall Corporate Responsibility (IRGE) will be involved in various stages of the prizewinner selection process.
Part of a responsible purchasing policy, the Horizon Trophies also tie in with Crédit Agricole's sustainable development strategy. Since 2008 the Group has applied a rating system during calls for tender, using a questionnaire to rank suppliers according to their degree of CSER commitment. In 2010 this process was supplemented by the signature of the "Charter of Ten Commitments to Responsible Purchasing", which aims to lay the foundations for best practices between major purchasers and the small and medium sized companies that supply them.
