Paris, 2 September 2009 ? Guy Bernfeld was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Crédit Agricole Immobilier at a board meeting of the company on 1 September on the recommendation of Chairman Gilles de Margerie.

Guy Bernfeld began his career in 1978 at Syndicat des Transports Parisiens. He subsequently served as head of procurement at Aéroports de Paris, corporate secretary of the property development arm of the Paris mass transit authority (RATP) and head of property and logistics for the capital's public hospitals authority (Assistance publique - Hôpitaux de Paris).

He joined Groupe Caisse des Dépôts in 2003, sitting on the executive committee of ICADE, with responsibility for the services unit, then on the executive committee of Groupe SNI, where he was in charge of major development projects, and from April 2008 to the present of SNI Ile-de-France.

Mr Bernfeld holds a PhD in management sciences and a post-graduate business diploma in logistics and transport from Paris Dauphine University, as well as a degree from Sciences Po Paris. He is also a former auditor at Centre des Hautes Etudes sur l'Afrique et l'Asie Moderne and at Institut des Hautes Etudes de Développement et d'Aménagement du Territoire.

He is a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, a UK-based professional body whose members occupy high-level posts in the land, property and construction sectors.

Guy Bernfeld received the trophy of the French property directors' association in 2000 and became a Chevalier de la Légion d'Honneur in 2003.
