The loan term is up to 30 years, with flexible repayment options and special advantages for economically active young people. Borrowers receive a 50 per cent discount on the origination fee and special death/disability insurance cover.
The new loan is also covered by LCL's dual promise: applicants receive an answer within two days and the loan offer within two weeks. Failing this, the bank will refund €200. In addition, repayment can be modulated and monthly payments postponed at no extra cost*.
Another attractive feature is the mutual loan guarantee, offered by LCL through its partner-insurers at special rates, which exempts the borrower from the mortgage guarantee requirement.
Until 31 December 2007, borrowers who take out a home loan and subscribe to the mutual guarantee system at the same time will receive three months' free home insurance.
One in three borrowers taking out a home loan with LCL in 2006 was under 36. LCL is offering a home loan tailored to the needs of young working people under 36. The special offer is intended to help first-time buyers or people wanting to acquire a second home.
