Patrice Couvègnes is appointed Managing Director of Bank Saudi Fransi in Riyadh
Patrice Couvègnes is appointed Managing Director of Bank Saudi Fransi, the Crédit Agricole CIB’s Saudi affiliate. This appointment received the approval of the Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency on September 26, 2011.
Patrice Couvègnes has over 34 years experience in the banking industry. He has been appointed as Senior Regional Officer of Crédit Agricole CIB in Asia (excluding Japan and Australia), member of Crédit Agricole Management Committee and member of International Committee since July 2008. He was responsible for Crédit Agricole CIB overall corporate development and strategy in Asia.
After starting his career at the French Ministry of Equipment and Transportation, Patrice Couvègnes joined the Corporate Banking Department of Banque Française du Commerce Extérieur in 1975. In 1984, he joined Banque Indosuez as a Senior Banker and was promoted to Deputy Head of Large French Corporate Department in 1989. Patrice Couvègnes was then appointed as Regional Head Corporate Banking of Crédit Agricole Indosuez for Asia Pacific in 1996. He became Country Head of Crédit Agricole Indosuez in South Korea in 2000 and Country Head of Calyon (renamed Crédit Agricole CIB) in Japan in 2005.
Patrice Couvègnes holds a PhD in Economic Science from Paris I University
