Two new FCPI funds managed by Crédit Agricole Private Equity: LCL Innovation 2010 and CA Innovation 11

Crédit Agricole Private Equity has launched a FCPI fund (mutual fund investing in innovative companies), LCL Innovation 2010, and has been delegated management of the investment in innovation component of the CA Innovation 11 fund.

LCL Innovation 2010 is the eleventh FCPI fund managed by Crédit Agricole Private Equity since 2000 for LCL retail banking clients.

CA Innovation 11, launched by Amundi PEF, is aimed at retail banking clients of the Crédit Agricole Regional Banks.
The two funds allow investors to participate in the development of innovative European SMEs (60% of assets), while also benefiting from a tax reduction of up to €6,000.

The funds will invest in the new information and communications technologies (electronics, telecoms, software, internet, e-commerce), life sciences (drug development, diagnostic devices, medical instruments, biological production) and clean technologies sectors.

Crédit Agricole Private Equity's Venture Capital team is a key player in financing innovative SMEs. Comprising 11 investment professionals, it manages €430 million in the form of investments in young companies offering strong growth potential in the information technologies and life sciences sectors.

"Our team benefits from over 10 years' experience in creating FCPI funds. Against the backdrop of changes in taxation on these products, it is more important than ever to favour experienced teams with the essential expertise in selecting companies," comments Antoine Colboc, Head of Venture Capital at Crédit Agricole Private Equity
