Biography 

Bertrand Chevallier began his career in 1989 as an advisor. His first position was financial auditor for Price-Waterhouse and he later became a freelance consultant. He joined Crédit Agricole d'Ile-de-France in 1992 as the manager of financial analysis, then went on to become Head of accounting and management control before taking on the role of Chief Financial Officer. In 2001, he was appointed Chief Internal Auditor, and in 2003, Head of business markets. In 2005, he joined Crédit Agricole Leasing & Factoring, where he held the position of Deputy Chief Executive Officer and was in charge of leasing operations. Starting in 2007, he worked on activity leasing in France, before being appointed Chief Executive Officer in 2011. In 2012, he became Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Crédit Agricole d'Ile-de-France and Chief Executive Officer of the Multichannel Career Distribution division for all of Crédit Agricole’s Regional Banks. In 2016, he was appointed Head of Payment Systems and Chief Executive Officer of Crédit Agricole Payment Services. He has joined the Steering and Control Division of Crédit Agricole S.A. in November 2022.

Bertrand Chevallier holds a degree in engineering from the École Centrale de Paris and is a graduate of the Institut d’Etudes Politiques of Paris.
