Support from Crédit Agricole for Diabeloop, which simplifies day-to-day life for diabetics

Start-up Diabeloop, hosted by Village by CA Paris, recently implemented its innovative "artificial pancreas" technology, which aims to improve quality of life among type-1 diabetes* sufferers. The start-up raised €7.5 million from Crédit Agricole Sud Rhône Alpes Capital and Crédit Agricole des Savoie Capital, among others, to start marketing Diabeloop in 2018. In addition, it obtained a €5 million loan set up by Crédit Agricole Sud Rhône Alpes and BpiFrance, among others.

* Form of diabetes – accounting for some 10% of cases – caused by the pancreas failing to secrete any insulin
