COP22 opens in Marrakesh

On November 7-18, Marrakesh will host the 22nd Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC).

Crédit du Maroc (CDM) has a stand in the COP reception area, where it can present the Group's actions against climate change, and introduce its new solar panel financing product for individuals.

On November 4, to open the COP on Climate Finance Day, CDM and Crédit Agricole CIB organised a conference on the topic "green bonds: an instrument for energy transition in Morocco and all around the world" aimed at CDM's business customers.

COP22, chaired by Morocco's Minister for Foreign Affairs Salaheddine Mezouar, will work essentially on implementing the Paris Agreement, which became effective on November 4.
This agreement was ratified by 72 countries accounting for 56.75% of greenhouse gas emissions worldwide, above the 55% triggering threshold.
