The Group celebrates the 10th anniversary of the Grameen Crédit Agricole Foundation
Alongside Crédit Agricole Group, the Grameen Crédit Agricole Foundation has been committed for 10 years to promoting inclusive finance and social impact entrepreneurship. With over 200 million euros of financings granted, a presence in 38 countries and a network of over 100 partners supported since inception, the Foundation represents a specialization hub for the Crédit Agricole Group, unique in its kind in the inclusive finance sector in emerging countries.
Why is it important?
In the face of social and environmental challenges, economic actors must act. As a committed player for the development of territories, the Group is stepping up its cooperation with the Foundation. Initial ties between the Foundation and Group's Regional Banks and entities have been forged successfully. A case in point are the recent partnerships set up with Crédit Agricole Franche-Comté, Crédit Agricole Alpes-Province, Crédit Agricole CIB, Pacifica, Amundi, CA Indosuez Wealth (Asset Management), CACEIS Bank Luxembourg Branch, and the international retail bank in Morocco, Egypt and Serbia. And the convergences continue to expand.
Which events are planned?
To mark 10 years of collective action, Crédit Agricole SA and the Foundation are organising the "Grameen Crédit Agricole Foundation Week" at the Crédit Agricole Campus in Montrouge.
The Foundation’s Week opened with a conference entitled "The Foundation and the Social Impact Entrepreneurship" that was held on Monday, November 19th. The event brought together three social entrepreneurs supported by the Foundation to discuss the main issues of the sector. It was also an opportunity to officially present the cheque for the amount collected during the Solidarity Cents Campaign to the NGO Entrepreneurs du Monde.
The Foundation’s Week ends on Thursday, November 22 with a conference entitled "Investing in Africa: Myth or Reality". Can we look at our future while ignoring the African continent? Our three exceptional guests will share their views on this versatile continent, the challenges it faces, its stakes and its potential for investment. To register click here.
