THE ISSUE
Caregivers, despite their high number, are little known and recognised in France. Yet they play an essential role in dependency issues, whether relating to age, illness or accident.
OUR RESPONSE
The objective is to help public-interest organisations and bodies initiate, develop and sustain new programmes in favour of caregivers. In partnership with the French Caregivers Association (AFA), Crédit Agricole Assurances has since 2010 been committed to a sponsorship initiative in favour of local organisations that work with caregivers and volunteers.
In 2015, Crédit Agricole Assurances took steps to help its caregiver employees. It is a partner in the Responsage programme, a platform providing guidance and personalised advice for employees caring for a dependent relative aged 60 or over. Fully paid for by Crédit Agricole Assurances, Responsage was supporting 44 caregiving employees and had responded to 750 requests (release from hospital, search for day care, home help, etc.). This support ensures better coordination between professional and private life and increases presence at work.

Caregivers are the salt of the earth, upholding tremendous values of solidarity, courage and kindness on a day-to-day basis.
