EcoVadis, an independent supplier assessment body

Ecovadis - Crédit Agricole

761

suppliers assessed on the basis of CSR performance (2015)

THE ISSUE

Interdependent relations with suppliers and subcontractors are a source of risks in terms of quality, ethics and reputation.

OUR RESPONSE

To unfailingly respect its commitments and minimise these risks, Crédit Agricole entrusts the assessment of its suppliers' CSR management systems to a specialised independent third party EcoVadis.

The rating process consists in sending suppliers a questionnaire adapted to their business sector including 21 criteria divided into four areas: the environment, social, ethical and supply chain management. EcoVadis thus assesses the CSR management system of suppliers when they respond to calls for bids. This assessment may account for up to 30% of the report rating.

The CSR criterion has a 10% weighting in the multi-criteria analysis grid we use to select suppliers through our calls for bids. It doesn't eliminate a supplier but it plays a big part in our final decision.
