Disability: fostering accessibility and maintaining employment

Disability - Crédit Agricole

4.69 %

of the staff at the Crédit Agricole S.A. Group are people with disabilities (2015)

Owing to problems integrating the professional world, the unemployment rate for people with disabilities is twice as high as the national average.

Following a third three-year agreement, all the entities of the Group are implementing more than 1,630 measures to support over 400 people with disabilities, from working time adjustments to co-funding prosthetic devices and the funding of commuting costs.

The commitment was confirmed with the signature of an ambitious fourth Group Disability agreement providing in particular for the recruitment of 190 employees (of which a minimum of 70 are to be permanent contracts) and a 50% increase in purchasing and services entrusted to the protected and sheltered sector, as well as assistance in professional integration and maintaining employment for 2014 to 2016.

Today we are seeing a positive turnaround in the situation. It is now the entities having signed the agreement who are calling on us for practical assistance and advice, where before we were accustomed to initiating actions to increase our employment rate.
