Laurent Chenain started his career in 1988 in the Corporate Department of Banque Indosuez in London. In 1989, he held several positions at the Project Financing Department in Paris, firstly in the Infrastructure team and then in the Energy team, where he contributed to developing the bank’s franchise in the Oil & Gas sector, before taking over its leadership in 1997.
In 2000, he joined the Acquisition Financing/LBO team at Crédit Agricole Indosuez. He became manager of the French team in 2003.
He then co-managed the Acquisition Financing/LBO France (SFI) team of Crédit Agricole CIB from 2004 to 2009 and became its Head in 2010. In 2012 he was appointed Global Head of the Real Estate and Hotels Department (DIH).
