Thierry Simon started his career at Crédit Lyonnais in 1985. He held various posts, from Head of the Large Corporate Clients Division in Paris, to Head of the Scotland Branch, to Head of the European Group in London. In 1995 he became the Head of Crédit Lyonnais Denmark and was appointed Senior Country Officer in charge of banking, capital markets and institutional activities for the Nordic countries, and of the Woodchester Ltd. leasing subsidiary. After three years as Head of the Main Corporate Branch in Paris, he was appointed Head of Financial Institutions in 2001.

In 2004 he became Head of the Real Estate and Hotels Global Business Line at Calyon.

Aged 49, Thierry Simon is a graduate of Centrale Lille and holder of an Executive MBA from HEC-CPA.
