Biography
François-Edouard Drion began his career at BNP Paribas. After a few years in the International Division and then at the General Inspection in 1998, he was appointed Deputy Head of the Middle East and Near East for Retail Banking in 2001. In 2004, he was appointed Chief Executive Officer of BNP Paribas in Algeria and Head of Algerian “Territory” for the BNPP Group. He joined Crédit Agricole in 2008 as CEO of Crédit Agricole Serbia. In 2011, he became Chief Executive Officer of Crédit Agricole Egypt and Group SCO for Egypt. In 2017, he was appointed Head of International Retail Banking at Crédit Agricole S.A.
François-Edouard Drion is a graduate of Sciences Po Paris and holds a postgraduate diploma in finance from Paris Dauphine University.
