Biography
Nicolas Calcoen began his career in the budget division of the French finance Ministry in 1988. From 2002 to 2005 he worked as an economist at the Fiscal Affairs department of the International Monetary Fund in Washington DC. In 2005, Nicolas Calcoen joined the private staff of the finance Minister and the Minister responsible for the budget, first as a technical advisor and then as Deputy Chief of Staff to the budget Minister and budget advisor to the finance Minister. From 2007 to 2010 he was Deputy Chief of Staff of the Minister for the budget, government accounts, the civil service and state reform. In 2010 he became Head of Strategy and Development at Amundi, then Head of Finance in 2012.
Nicolas Calcoen graduated from Ecole Nationale d’Administration (ENA). He is also a graduate of Sciences Po Paris, where he earned a post-graduate degree in economics and international finance.
