Since the outbreak of the pandemic, CA Egypt has been actively promoting the digital tools to encourage customers to bank from home and stay safe. Since then, the number of registrations and transactions done through “banki” the fully fledged digital platform have been rapidly increased.

For individuals, the total number of logins has been multiplied by 2 through all channels. The number of transactors increased by 33% in April versus Jan 2020 to reach 21% of the total bank active customer base. Bill Payments & Transfers through banki channels also increased by 43% vs last year and 77% of all local transfers are now performed using banki Mobile!

Side by side, corporates have showed a leap too. 50 new companies sent their first digital transactions during April 2020. 77% of active companies have registered to banki Business and 39% of total active companies are using banki Business. Digital transactions have increased by +38% vs Apr 2019 and 22 % of local currency transfers to other banks are processed on banki Business.

These results are fruits reaping of all the ongoing efforts done by the different teams to consistently develop and push for the digital migration to foster the digital transformation.
It is worth mentioning a digital utilization campaign is running with double impact: attaining customers interest and society’s support; wherein each financial transaction made by the customer using the CA EGYPT digital channel, the bank will donate 1 EGP to the Food Bank, intended for daily workers who lost their job due to the Covid-19 crisis.
