The forum brought together 20 speakers among which representatives of the business community and line ministries of Ukraine. Within the framework of the event, the participants discussed necessary steps that Ukraine should take in order to establish solid global position and take advantage of its competitive strengths.

Key topics of the forum include the following: • Key priorities of the new Government and Parliament to ensure the continued growth and evolution of the Ukrainian agribusiness sector; • Focus on finance and investment and where it can add the greatest value; • Case studies of innovation and the implementation of the latest technologies by the leading agro-industrial groups; • Evolution of the land market.    Jean-Paul Piotrowski, the Chairman of the Management Board of Credit Agricole Ukraine, and Larysa Bondarieva, Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of the bank in charge of corporate business and financial markets, participated in panel discussions on behalf of the bank.

“Over the past years Ukraine’s agricultural sector has been remaining one of the bright spots on economic map and remains a key driver for development of Ukrainian economy. Ukraine has made a step forward, extending the geography of its agri export to new markets in the EU, Asia and Africa. This is a clear recognition of the enhanced quality of Ukrainian products, and a result of successful competition of Ukrainian players. As a strategic partner for agribusiness, Credit Agricole actively participates in the development of this sector: through partnership programs and sharing of expertise. This is a key pillar of our local strategy as well as a top priority for Credit Agricole Group as a whole. The focus of Credit Agricole on agrarian sector will remain, and we will support our clients by financing the land acquisition after the land reform”, Jean-Paul Piotrowski, the Chairman of the Management Board of Credit Agricole Ukraine, commented in his welcoming speech.       Annual Ukrainian Agribusiness Forum is one of the key events of the Ukrainian agribusiness market.
