Crédit Agricole in Poland

Crédit Agricole has been operating in Poland since 2001 where it holds leading positions in its two historical business lines - 1st player in consumer loans and leasing.

Polskasiege

  • Joined the Group in 2001 via the acquisition of Lukas Bank, a leader in consumer loans. CABP has been operating under Crédit Agricole brand since 2011 with the launch of the Universal Banking activity followed by the buyout of CACIB in 2013 and the rollout of a sales network for high-end Agri customers.

CABP maintains a strong position in the consumer lending segment, but is clearly changing its profile towards a universal bank with significantly growing assets and reaching customers both through extensive branch networks and developed remote channels.

Crédit Agricole Group in Poland (CABP + EFL) is ranked 10th by Total Asset. In recent years, the regulatory headwinds and bank levy accelerated the normalization of margin, especially on consumer loans, and led to market concentration resulting in a growing share of Polish banks.

Other Group entities operating in Poland: EFL (with leasing market share 9,5%), CA Assurances with CALI (life), CATU (non-life) and CACI (CPI), Amundi (investment funds).

In 2024 Bank recorded its highest-ever results and expects further growth in the coming years. This will be achieved through the continued expansion of its universal banking offer, growth across all business lines, strengthening customer relationships, and focusing on the key strategic products and segments (mortgage, affluent clients, agricultural markets and insurance).
