Appointment - Crédit Agricole S.A.

Gaëlle Regnard, Technical Advisor to the French Prime Minister on Agriculture, Fishing and Forestry, to join Crédit Agricole S.A. as deputy to the Director of Agriculture and Food Manufacturing.

As of 1 September 2010, Gaëlle Regnard is to join Crédit Agricole S.A.'s Department of Agriculture and Food Manufacturing as Deputy Director, reporting to Michel Clavé.

Aged 37, Ms Regnard holds a degree in agricultural engineering and is qualified for the French Ministry of Agriculture ("Ingénieur des Ponts, des Eaux et des Forêts").
She began her career in 1997 in the Regional Department of Agriculture and Forestry in Nièvre, where she was responsible in particular for the water inter-services project.
In 2000, she joined the central administration of the French Ministry of Agriculture, where she became head of environmental services. She was responsible for projects concerning integrated farming, changes in CAP. Within the Ministry, Ms Regnard then became Head of the Office of Fruit, Vegetables, Horticulture and Special Plant Production in 2002.
In 2006, she became head of Agriculture, Fishing and Food on the General Secretariat for European Affairs, serving the French Prime Minister, where she notably looked after preparations for France's presidency of the Council of the European Union in 2008.

Since 2008 and till july 2010, Ms Regnard has been Technical Advisor to the French Prime Minister, François Fillon, on Agriculture, Fishing and Forestry.
