The public offer in cash and shares for Crédit Lyonnais is now closed

The public offer in cash and shares for the capital of Crédit Lyonnais, that Crédit Agricole S.A. and Sacam Développement filed jointly on 16 December 2002 and which was opened on 28 March 2003, is now closed. The definitive outcome of the offer will be published at the beginning of June.
 In light of the major Crédit Lyonnais shareholders' public statements, it is now certain that the offer has been successful. Crédit Agricole S.A. and Crédit Lyonnais are very pleased with this good news, a sentiment that is shared by their management teams and colleagues.
