Crédit Agricole Egypt strives to stimulate innovation in the country
In line with its strategy to continuously offer an outstanding customer experience by focusing on innovation and sustainability, Crédit Agricole Egypt has been the Platinum sponsor of the first Franco-Egyptian competition for business creation which seeks to encourage young Egyptian entrepreneurs and identify Egyptian start-ups with strong potential for innovation, helping them to become future leaders of the digital transformation in a variety of fields including finance, healthcare and sustainable cities.
The bank’s innovation team played an active role in every phase of this competition, from the initial concept up to and including the selection of the winners.
At the prize-giving ceremony, hosted by the French Ambassador and in the presence of the Egyptian Minister of Communications and Information Technology, CA Egypt, represented by its Chairman, awarded prizes to two Fintech companies: ElGameya, which enables its users to save money, and OCRA Wallet, a mobile wallet designed to digitise all micropayments in Egypt by 2030.
