Amundi and Victory Capital announce plan to establish a strategic partnership
Amundi and Victory Capital, a US investment management firm, have announced their plan to establish a strategic partnership.

This partnership would comprise three parts:
  • The merger of Amundi US with Victory Capital;
  • Amundi’s strategic acquisition of a 26.1% stake in Victory Capital;
  • Exclusive and reciprocal 15-year distribution agreements.
The new group would be responsible for more than $280 billion in assets under management.

This partnership would see Amundi gain access to a larger US investment platform to the benefit of its customers all over the world, and would strengthen its presence in the United States.

Amundi would become the distributor of Victory Capital products outside of the United States and Victory Capital would distribute Amundi's investment solutions within the US.

The definitive completion of this transaction remains subject to certain conditions including regulatory approvals.

US manufacturer Ford successfully launched the Mustang at the New York World’s Fair on 17 April 1964. 20,000 orders were placed on day one, making it the fastest-selling car in history. The competitively-price sports car, which came with a vast catalogue of options, had a huge impact on Detroit's automotive industry. The car was named after a famous World War II American fighter plane and the wild mustang horse known for its power, speed and independence. By March 1966, one million vehicles had been sold. 50 years later, this figure was 9 million. This legend of US automotive history has made over 3,200 appearances on TV and film.
