Agnès de Clermont Tonnerre has joined the Executive Committee of LCL and has been appointed Head of the Corporate Affairs Division, comprising Commitments and Recovery, Compliance, Legal Affairs, Press Relations and the General Secretariat.
Agnès de Clermont Tonnerre, 52, served as Corporate Secretary of Crédit Agricole S.A. from 1 January 2006 to the present.
She began her career at the French Ministry of Transport in 1980 and moved to the Treasury four years later. In 1989, she became Corporate Secretary of the Advanced Computer Research Institute and in 1990 was appointed Director of Equity Investments at Bull. In 1995, she was named Director Central Management Auditing for Air France. She joined Crédit Lyonnais in 2000 and in 2002 became Group Head of Financial Engineering in the Financial Division. In 2004, she was appointed Corporate Secretary of Crédit Lyonnais.
A graduate of ENA and Sciences Po, Agnès de Clermont Tonnerre has also served as a ministerial aide.
