APPOINTMENT
Julien Fontaine has been appointed as Strategy Director of Crédit Agricole S.A. from 1 July 2011, reporting to Michel Mathieu, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Crédit Agricole S.A. and Head of Group Central Functions, Insurance and Asset Management. He will take up his new post on 1 September 2011.
Julien Fontaine started his career as an adviser in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. In 2000 he joined McKinsey & Company and in 2009 became Associate Director for Financial Services.
Aged 39, Julien Fontaine holds a Licence in Law and Diplomas from Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris and Essec, and is a graduate of the Ecole Nationale d’Administration.
