Piotr Kwiatkowski has joined Calyon, the Corporate and Investment banking arm of Crédit Agricole, as Senior Country Officer for Polska, heading the bank's corporate and investment banking activities in this region. He is based in Warsaw.
Piotr Kwiatkowski comes from Bank Pekao SA in Poland where he was leading the strategic corporate clients segment since 2004, member of the Bank's Committee since 2002. He had joined Bank Pekao in 2000, as Head of Structured and Trade Finance Division. He was also responsible for such business areas like debt capital markets, Forex and Interest Rates Derivatives, and correspondent banking.
Prior to that, he had spent 5 years in Bank Handlowy SA headquarters in Poland (presently Citibank), being responsible for structured finance and finally heading this unit for the last two years. At the beginning of his career in the early 1990's, he worked in real-estate development companies on the position of project manager.
Under his guidance, Calyon will further develop its activities in Polska, a key region for the Bank, by pursuing the strong growth made in previous years especially in capital markets, corporate banking and structured finance areas and to further expand the Calyon's Financial Institutions and Corporate clients franchise.
41 years old, Piotr Kwiatkowski is a graduate of Warsaw University of Technology (civil engineering) as well as University of Warsaw (management and organisation). He also acquired the Doctor's degree in Banking at Warsaw School of Economics. He wrote many thesis and articles on project finance, syndicated lending, credit risk valuation and management.
