Crédit Agricole S.A. is announcing today that it has been listed on the Dow Jones Sustainability Index STOXX (DJSI STOXX). The DJSI STOXX index includes leading companies in terms of sustainable development in Europe. Crédit Agricole S.A. is now listed on the main sustainable development indices, Aspi Eurozone, FTSE4Good and DJSI Stoxx.
Crédit Agricole S.A.'s listing on this index rewards its efforts to make sustainable development a core strategy of the bank and its business lines, and underscores the quality of its policy on social and environmental responsibility.
The Group's policy, focused on the fight against climate change, the respect of human rights (notably abroad), support for the farming community and the provision of responsible products and services, will continued to be strengthened as part of a decentralised approach at Crédit Agricole S.A., its specialised business subsidiaries and its Regional Banks.
Additionally, at end-2007, Crédit Agricole was voted “Bank of the Year” in the global category by the journal The Banker for its social and environmental responsibility policy.
