Jean-Luc François is appointed Head of International Insurance at Crédit Agricole Assurances
Jean-Luc François is joining Crédit Agricole Assurances as Head of International Insurance and will sit on the Group’s Executive Committee. Directly reporting to Jérôme Grivet, CEO of Crédit Agricole Assurances and of Predica, he will take charge of Group subsidiaries’ international life and non-life activities.
Jean-Luc François started his career in 1989 in Japan with the Corporate Finance and Strategy department of the French chemical and pharmaceutical group Rhône-Poulenc. He then moved to Roussel Uclaf, (member of the pharmaceutical group Aventis) where he held several functions (economics analyst, management controller and then special advisor to the CEO). In 1996 he joined the global management consulting firm, Mc Kinsey & Co, where he became an associate in 2003. Then in 2006 he joined Aviva France CFO and was appointed deputy CEO in 2008, a position he held until now.
Jean-Luc François, aged 44, is a graduate of HEC and holds an MBA in Finance and Corporate Strategy from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania — Philadelphia.
