Appointments

 

 

Crédit Agricole is announcing two appointments at its Major Clients division, which encompasses Crédit Agricole CIB, CACEIS and Indosuez Wealth Management and is supervised by Jean-Yves Hocher, Deputy CEO of Crédit Agricole S.A. and CEO of Crédit Agricole CIB.

 

Appointment at CACEIS:

Jean-François Abadie, Head of Global Operations at Crédit Agricole CIB, has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of CACEIS. He is also joining Crédit Agricole S.A.’s Extended Executive Committee.

 

Appointment at Crédit Agricole CIB:

François Marion, Chief Executive Officer of CACEIS, has been named Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Crédit Agricole CIB in charge of supervising support functions.

 

 

 

Brief resumes

 

Jean-François Abadie joined Banque Indosuez’s Internal Audit department in 1981, subsequently becoming Deputy Chief Internal Auditor in 1987. After heading up the Major Corporate Clients division in Paris (from 1989 until 1992), he joined Indosuez Carr Futures as Senior Manager. He was subsequently Chief Operating Officer of Banque Indosuez in Spain (1995), Chief Executive Officer of the Banque Indosuez España SA subsidiary (1996) and then Chief Operating Officer of Crédit Agricole Indosuez in London (1999). In 2003, he was named as Corporate Secretary of the Private Banking division. From 2008 until 2010, he served as Head of Private Banking (DBP) in France and at International Operations. From 2010 until 2015, he was CEO of Crédit Agricole Luxembourg and the Group’s Senior Country Officer in Luxembourg. Since October 2015, he has been Head of Global Operations.

 

Jean-François Abadie is a graduate of the Institut d’Etudes Politiques in Paris (IEP Institute of Political Studies).

François Marion has gained extensive corporate and investment banking experience, having joined Banque Indosuez’s Internal Audit department in 1983, before moving to New York. In 1992, he was appointed as Chief Operating Officer in Asia, before moving on in 1997 to become head of financial control, budgeting and strategic planning for the Crédit Agricole Indosuez group. In 1999, he joined Crédit Agricole Indosuez’s Executive Committee and became Head of the Systems and Operations department. In 2004, he moved to Crédit Agricole Investor Services as Chief Executive Officer. He has been Chairman of CACEIS’ Management Board since it was formed in 2005 and Chief Executive Officer since 2009.

François Marion is a graduate of the HEC business school.
