At its meeting of 4 November 2015, the Board of Directors of Crédit Agricole SA elected Dominique Lefebvre as Chairman. Dominique Lefebvre, in addition to now being Chairman of Crédit Agricole SA, also holds the chairmanship at SAS Rue La Boétie and the Fédération Nationale du Crédit Agricole.

Dominique Lefebvre replaces Jean-Marie Sander, who announced at the Crédit Agricole SA general meeting on 20 May that he would be stepping down from his role by the end of 2015.

The Board of Directors also confirmed Jack Boin, the new representative of SAS Rue La Boétie on the Board of Directors of Crédit Agricole SA, as Vice-Chairman. Jack Boin is first Vice-Chairman of the Fédération Nationale du Crédit Agricole and Chief Executive Officer of Crédit Agricole d’Aquitaine.

Lastly, the Board of Directors has co-opted Jean-Paul Kerrien, Chairman of the Crédit Agricole du Finistère, as a full Board member. He was previously a non-voting Director of the Board of Directors of Crédit Agricole SA.

Dominique Lefebvre biography

Dominique Lefebvre is a cereal farmer and has held numerous positions within professional agricultural organisations. He is member of Conseil de l’Agriculture Française, Chairman of the Commission Finances of la Chambre d’Agriculture d’Eure et Loir.

He got involved in Crédit Agricole’s representative bodies very early on and in 1995 was elected Chairman of Crédit Agricole de la Beauce et du Perche, now Crédit Agricole Val de France (1997).

He is also active at the national level: initially becoming an elected member of the Bureau de la Fédération Nationale du Crédit Agricole in 2004, he became Deputy Chairman in 2008 and then Chairman in 2010, taking over from Jean-Marie Sander who was elected Chairman of Crédit Agricole S.A.

Dominique Lefebvre is Chairman of SAS Rue La Boétie, the majority shareholder of Crédit Agricole S.A.
