Keystone Pipeline
During its 2017 General Assembly, Crédit Agricole SA reiterated that it would not finance investments concerning the doubling of the Keystone pipeline (4,000 kms), a pipeline, developed by TransCanada (a Canadian company operating energy infrastructures), that transports hydrocarbon extracted from oil sands.
On December 6th 2017, Crédit Agricole SA further announced that it would, going forward, exclude all infrastructure projects (as well as companies whose majority activity is dependent on such projects) principally dedicated to the exploration or the production of oil sands, of oil sourced in the Arctic region (offshore and onshore) and of shale gas or oil whose production generates excessive flaring or venting.
