As part of its strategy to accelerate the industrial deployment of artificial intelligence, Crédit Agricole Artificial Intelligence, the Group’s AI company dedicated to pooling AI technology assets to support business transformation, announces the signing of a partnership with Mistral, a leading AI laboratory. Recently established, Crédit Agricole Artificial Intelligence is now fully operational and equipped to manage and secure the industrial-scale deployment of AI across the Group.

A tailored partnership with Mistral to drive performance, resilience and strategic autonomy

Beyond providing access to a comprehensive portfolio of models, products and tools for developing and orchestrating AI use cases, this partnership was designed from the outset with a clear industrial ambition. Mistral will contribute to building the AI platform intended to serve all Group customers and employees, immediately addressing challenges related to scale, complexity and volume. The most transformative projects will be prioritized and supported through the pooling of resources from both companies.

Crédit Agricole Artificial Intelligence and Mistral will combine their expertise to support strategic initiatives such as the development of a value-generating conversational agent for customers of the Group’s retail banking networks, the agentification of key business processes, and cybersecurity, which represents a major focus of the partnership. This collaboration will reduce project delivery times while optimizing the pooling of high-performance, resilient and sustainable technology assets.

Crédit Agricole Artificial Intelligence also intends to adapt large language models using its own data and business use cases, leveraging Mistral’s technology to improve performance while reducing computing resource consumption and environmental impact. Designed to deliver services across all Group entities, the company relies in particular on the infrastructure of CA-GIP to orchestrate the allocation of AI workloads according to their sensitivity and criticality, combining the Group’s private cloud, European partners and complementary solutions whenever required.

Strengthening the French and European technology ecosystem to better manage dependencies

To accelerate the deployment of agentic AI for employees as part of the “AI for All” programme, Crédit Agricole Artificial Intelligence is also working with additional technology partners. In this context, it collaborates with Prisme.AI with the ambition of enabling employees to use, create and share AI agents tailored to their needs within an industrial, secure and governed framework.

Following the successful deployment of the Sécuri'Chat solution within Crédit Agricole S.A. in 2024, now regularly used by nearly nine out of ten trained employees, Crédit Agricole Artificial Intelligence is now rolling out Sécur'IA. This platform enables business teams to design, use and share AI agents connected to the information system and tailored to their specific requirements. Capable of assisting employees in their day-to-day activities or supporting specific business processes, these agents will operate within a secure and governed environment.
