Ciberon 2 coal-fired power plant project
- Crédit Agricole is no longer involved in financing the Ciberon 2 caol-fired power plant project in Indonesia since the end of March 2017. The financing power plant conditions, requested by the Crédit Agricole, were not completed by the deadline for the credit pre-agreement.
- Crédit Agricole is the first commercial bank to have raised its ambition to withdraw from coal financing, as early as 2015, with the end of the coal mines financing (on May 2015) and then new coal-fired power plants projects in high-income countries (On September 2015). This position was extended in October 2016 to all new coal-fired power projects worldwide.
- The Group is no longer involved in any coal projects since April 2017.
