At VivaTech, Je choisis la French Tech is scaling up.

Another nine major French groups, including Crédit Agricole S.A., have announced that they are joining the 14 companies already involved in the programme, which spans the entire French economy. All have committed to collectively make purchases in excess of €2 billion from French start-ups.

Launched by the French president three years ago, Je choisis la French Tech is aimed at encouraging the private sector to make greater use of technologies developed by French start-ups. The model is now being exported to the rest of Europe. At VivaTech, Choose European Tech for the first brings together 18 European French Tech communities, major groups and innovation agencies from all over the continent. As the European Commission begins its initial work on the principle of European preference, the aim is to steer European buyers towards European start-ups and scale-ups.
