Crédit Agricole sponsors the French Cup Finals at Stade de France
On May 22, the football season came to a close with the final of the Crédit Agricole Coupe de France, pitting RC Lens against OGC Nice. A fitting finale to a season rich in emotion, and marked by the new naming of this iconic competition, now proudly associated with Crédit Agricole.
This exceptional day began with the final of the Crédit Agricole Coupe Gambardella, showcasing the promising young talents of Nantes and Paris. Later in the evening, the highly anticipated final unfolded on the pitch of the Stade de France.
To support this major event, Crédit Agricole deployed a comprehensive activation plan, both on-site and across digital channels. The ambition was clear: to bring fans as close as possible to the excitement of France’s favourite competition, while celebrating this first year of “naming rights” alongside the Regional Banks, many of which attended the match—led in particular by Nord de France and Provence Côte d’Azur.
To promote this new naming to a wide audience, a digital media campaign was launched from the semi-finals onwards across platforms such as L’Équipe.fr, France.tv and Foot Mercato. This effort was further reinforced by TV billboards broadcast around the matches.
AND TO MAKE SURE NOTHING WAS MISSED ON THE ACTIVATION SIDE
In the lead-up to the final, tickets were up for grabs on our social media channels. On the day itself, a wide range of animations brought the event to life !
On the stadium forecourt, the “Haircut” activation—already a great success during the semi-finals—made a strong comeback, giving fans the opportunity to proudly sport the competition’s signature silver style.
Inside the stadium, the kick-off was marked by a Crédit Agricole–branded plinth showcasing the official match ball. At half-time, the spotlight turned to a lively challenge led by influencer Michou and his team, who attempted to score points by hitting a target set up at the centre of the pitch, also featuring Crédit Agricole branding.
Finally, the “Man of the Match” initiative honoured the game’s standout player, with the trophy presented by two Crédit Agricole representatives.
All these highlights unfolded under the cheerful and attentive gaze of Michel and Daphnée, special correspondents of the Déon family.
