Jérôme Grivet presents the Q1 2022 results

Good quarter with buoyant activity in all Group business lines. With regard to the Ukraine-Russia conflict, the Group opted for a precautionary provision, while the level of proven risks remained low.

The attack on Ukraine has triggered a huge wave of solidarity across the entire Crédit Agricole Group. Our support is directed first and foremost at the 2,400 employees of CA Ukraine, whose February and March pay has been paid early to ensure they can meet their essential needs.

Chemistry is omnipresent in our daily lives. Toothpaste, plastics and sun creams are all made using chemical processes. However, their production and consumption – which are revolutionary in many respects – can have a rather heavy impact on our environment. Hence the emergence of green chemistry.

Three years after its launch, the success of the Solidarity Bankers programme has confirmed the commitment of our employees and the Group's desire to support projects with a social impact. Since 2018, the programme has included 28 missions launched in around fifteen countries with 19 organisations supported by the Grameen Crédit Agricole Foundation. 316 days of missions have been planned or carried out by 34 Solidarity Bankers.

Twenty years ago, euro banknotes and coins entered into circulation and France abandoned the franc. Concerning 12 EU member states, the switch stands as the world’s largest ever currency changeover. But the changeover was just the last step in a long process which, at Crédit Agricole, began in 1995. And the creation of the single currency was the result of an even longer process.
